This page is to highlight my readings on the scriptures, and to give links to great scriptures. I want to express my voice as a woman in scriptures I read, without taking out the men that do have a place. I want to express how important it is to include women and see how women work with in every context, even what seems like an exclusively male context. So this is my Scripture Journal. I hope you enjoy and please add your own insights.

10/9/2011: Okay today I look at what I can do to find myself as a woman in the scriptures, that use male pronouns. I understand that there those who believe that women are included in the sense of men, and there are others like myself who believe that the mention of "men" does not necessarily include women. So I have decided to look and read my scriptures, including women along side men. Including Heavenly Mother along side Heavenly Father, though if it speaks of Jesus Christ specifically I shall leave that in context. There is Scholarly evidence that states that the scriptures aren't as correctly translated as they could be. I certainly believe this.
Elohim is actually the plural= Oh or oah in hebrew makes something feminine so El would be the Masculine, Eloh or Eloah the feminine, and im the masculine plural (of course, for me, plural is just plural, I don't think we should describe plural as being from the man or masculine).
So to get off my little rant i want to first direct you to A list of Scriptures of the atonement can be found here. This is our biggest doctrine, the one that makes us Christian. The belief in Christ and his atonement and death and resurrection is our central unifying doctrine.

Moses 1:39 (Pearl of Great Price, LDS Standard Works) as written: For behold it is my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of men.
Again: Behold it is my and my wife's glory to being to bring to pass the Immortality and Eternal Life of men and women.
And one more time: Behold it is our glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of our spirit children.
I just thought of this verse as written is the ultimate in equality and inequality. The first way it states We are his children, and it is his work, and it only mentions men. As much as that has been justified in meaning all men women and children, I highly doubt that is what the translators thought. For when Men are mentioned it should not automatically be assumed women are mentioned too. It is unequal in that aspect as well as equal. We will all get immortality, that is a given and a gift for all on earth and so that is equal but also unequal because eternal life with God the Father and Mother is not so set in stone, because there are requirements to enter the Kin-dom of God and not everybody will get in to the Celestial kin-dom. (I will explain the three kin-doms not one in another entry later).
The second one is the Father talking, and mentioning his wife, and talking of men and women which thus can mean all men and women of all ages. To me that translation makes it better, more equal, less vague, and he mentions his wife. That is important.
The third one is my absolute favorite way of translating this. We are their children. It is their work. They want us to live with them forever. They are one in purpose and mind, and power doing all things in sync and unison. Which is the point I think. To show equality of them, while showing us how to live with them, and live with each other.
