I have known of Post partum depression from birthing experiences but had never heard of PTSD. I believe this is real, and how I found this site was from reading a Profile of one of the board members at LDS WAVE. Read it here LDS WAVE - WAVE BOARD. Her name is Jenn Alderks. This is definitely something that I am interested in highlighting, so many problems surround birth. I get a bit agitated when I hear men say, Have children, they have no idea what that can do to the mother. I think that it is good to educate the Leaders of the Church of the very real dangers of Motherhood and that it is not to be entered into lightly, but taken seriously of all the possibilities birthing a child can bring. Men must know. We must educate them. And this is just one more tool to do so.
